Our story
Luke Robert Black - Founder and Director of Blue Beyond
Luke founded Blue Beyond in April 2019 to try and expand opportunity in politics beyond SW1A and the Westminster bubble. He believes that there are still too many financial and geographical barriers to politics, disempowering Young Conservatives across all four nations of the United Kingdom. Blue Beyond : beyond politics
Blue Beyond's aims are to make the youth wing as inclusive as possible for those who don't live in London. A huge part of what we do is running events, many of which have been virtual due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Most recently we hosted three quizzes, raising thousands of pounds for charity and hosting various MP supporters such as Dehenna Davison MP, Esther McVey MP, James Cleverly MP, Guy Opperman MP and many others.

Too much in politics – whatever its colour – takes place in London. From social events to panel discussions and from internships to media opportunities, there is a concentration of opportunity, engagement and access that isn’t shared as evenly as it should be. Help us change that. Join us today.
In the last year, we have ran over 100 polls, organised over 20 events - including the largest youth wing event on record since 2017 – and campaigned for six PPCs. We have supported 7 Young Conservatives from outside of London with internships, work experience and job applications. We have helped put over 200 Blue Beyond members in newspapers, radio interviews or television features, to ensure that not London-based Young Conservatives have their voices heard by the media.
